Santa Eulalia

East coast, family side

Santa Eulalia

Santa Eulària des Riu is the third town of Ibiza and the calm one. A marina, a seafront promenade, the only river in the Balearics and a string of family beaches to the north.

The short answer

Santa Eulalia sits on the east coast, about 15 km from Ibiza Town and 20 minutes by car from the airport. It is the family and couples side of the island: marina, promenade, restaurants along the Passeig de s'Alamera and beaches such as Cala Llonga, Es Canar and Cala Pada nearby. Boats leave from the marina for the east coast coves.

The town is built around the Passeig de s'Alamera, a tree lined avenue that runs to the sea, and the Puig de Missa hill with its fortified church above. The marina at the southern end is where the day boats and the coastal ferries start. Cala Llonga to the south and Es Canar to the north are the classic family beaches.

Most people who ask us about Santa Eulalia want a villa with a pool and a car. The east coast roads are quieter than the west and you can reach Ibiza Town in 20 minutes when you want the night.
