The rock is 382 metres high, higher than anything on the west coast, and sits beside its smaller sister Es Vedranell. Both are part of the Cala d'Hort nature reserve, together with the Ses Salines park. Cala d'Hort beach faces it directly and the Torre des Savinar, a pirate watchtower on the cliff to the south, is the classic viewpoint. The last part of the road to the tower is a dirt track and the walk takes about 20 minutes.
